During a big storm in Switzerland, we got stranded on our way LAAX and had to reroute everything to a different town. That town happened to be Interlaken, where we spent a very activity intensive 24 hours exploring some points of interest in Interlaken, Switzerland.

One of the most unique points of interest in Interlaken Switzerland is the cutest little craft store called Mad Cow. During our 24 hour stint to Interlaken Switzerland, we came across Mad Cow. The craft store is owned by a wonderful sweet lady, who is very passionate about what she is doing. Kim opened this store to fulfill that passion and treated all her patrons in that same manner.

It wasn’t a store that was very hard to find, considering that it had a beautiful painted colorful cow on it with Mad Cow sign on the front of the building. The interior was so adorable, it was hard to leave and hard to stop shopping. There were several areas that were themed. There was an 60’s area, in a boho area, a modern area, all of which frequently changed. We were there for a very specific task, though. We wanted to make our own wooden cuckoo clocks and Mad cow had special programs for families who wanted to bring something different home from Switzerland, which makes it one of the most unique posts of interest in Interlaken Switzerland.

Lexi and I painted one clock, while my mom did another. My mom couldn’t decide on the theme for the clock so I suggested the Swiss Flag which turned out beautifully. Lexi, on the other end, wanted to incorporate colors of the rainbow into the clock and I followed her lead.

After we were done painting, it was a lot of fun, going through the store and looking at some of the really amazing and unique goodies that she has found all over the world. I spotted some stationery that I fell in love with, as well as some travel accessories by Papaya Art
